Frequently Asked Questions
Rogue Runners
-
Absolutely not. Rogue Runners & Walkers supports all paces and experience levels. Whether you’re running intervals, walking your first mile, or training for an ultramarathon, pace is never a barrier to belonging here.
-
Yes — and proudly so. Many of our members started exactly where you are now. If you’re brand new to running or walking, easing back into movement, or trying a group for the first time, you’ll find encouragement, guidance, and zero judgment.
-
All of them. From your very first mile to marathon and ultramarathon distances, Rogue supports a wide range of goals. Some members are training for races, others are here to move consistently, and many are simply here for the community — all are equally welcome.
-
Not at all! Most of our members use run/walk intervals, and walking the entire route is always an option. Rogue was built on the belief that movement looks different for everyone.
Rogue Walkers
-
Yes! We have a dedicated walker division and welcome walkers at our events. Walking is not an afterthought here — it’s an important and valued part of our community.
-
Absolutely. Whether you’re walking for fitness, recovery, social connection, or simply because it’s what feels right for you, you belong here.
-
Walker paces vary, just like runner paces. Some members walk briskly, others at a more relaxed pace. The goal isn’t speed — it’s movement, connection, and showing up in a way that works for you.
-
Absolutely. Many members do a mix of walking and running, depending on the day, the distance, or how their body feels. There’s no pressure to stick to one category.
Rogue Community
-
We meet at a variety of locations throughout the Pittsburgh area, often partnering with local coffee shops, breweries, and small businesses. Each run or walk is intentionally planned to pour love — and money — back into the community that serves us. Supporting local is a core part of who we are.
Our weekly schedule and locations are always posted in our weekly newsletter and social media.
-
Yes — membership is based on the calendar year and helps support the club’s operations, including insurance, club shirts, training plans, access to routes, and special discounts online and at local establishments. Membership also gives you access to our twice-yearly celebrations, including marathon parties and membership appreciation breakfasts. Joining ensures you’re part of a supported, connected community while helping us pour love and resources back into the local community that serves us.
-
Most of our runs and walks are drop-in friendly — we love seeing new faces! We do ask that members RSVP on our private Facebook page so we have a sense of who’s joining before we take off. If your plans change at the last minute, just update your RSVP so we can make sure everyone is accounted for.
New to Rogue? You’re welcome to give us a try once to see if we’re a good fit — after that, we ask that you become a member so you’re covered under our club insurance and can fully participate in all our events and programs. This helps keep everyone safe and ensures we can continue building the community we all love.

Rogue is about more than miles. We’re a community built on encouragement, connection, and showing up exactly as you are. You’ll find runners, walkers, and those training for everything from their first mile to ultramarathon distances — all supporting one another along the way.
