The Power of Yet
Movement is for everyone.
Confidence is for everyone.
Community is for everyone.
The Power of Yet Youth Division is a community-based running and movement program designed specifically for children with special needs, ages 4–12. Our mission is to provide a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment where children who may not thrive in traditional athletic programs can build physical skills, confidence, and a sense of belonging—through movement.
Our inspiration for the Power of Yet Youth Division comes from Noah, the son of Rogue Runner Ben. Noah is a joyful, very active child who was diagnosed on the autism spectrum in April 2024. At the time, he was nonspeaking, and like many families navigating a similary journey, Ben and his family searched for programs that could truly meet Noah where he was—programs that would support his unique needs while helping him learn new skills and experience the joy of movement.
Those programs were incredibly difficult to find.
Rather than accepting the lack of inclusive options, Ben and the Rogue community decided to create one. What began as a deeply personal need grew into a program meant to support families across the greater Pittsburgh area who may be searching for the same sense of understanding, inclusion, and opportunity for their children. Many children with special needs face barriers to participation in traditional sports due to sensory sensitivities, communication differences, behavioral needs, or limited accommodations. The Power of Yet Youth Division was created to address those gaps. We offer smaller group sizes, predictable routines, clear expectations, and a supportive environment led by adults who understand neurodiversity and inclusive practices.
Our goal is simple but powerful: to ensure that every child, regardless of ability, have access to physical activity in a way that feels safe, affirming, and joyful.
Through the Power of Yet Youth Division, children are encouraged to discover what they can do, build confidence at their owner pace, develop lifelong healthy habits, and experience the power of movement.
